HAND-DYED SHADES AND PANELS
FOR INDIANA RESIDENCE

The development of these canvas shades and panels traced inspiring conversations with the residents from the start, from exchanges on color and plants, to the cleats and batons handmade by the client. This installation has transformed the main living space and entry with respect to light, temperature, and acoustics. The yellow color was hand-dyed in Pittsburgh using a cocktail of plant extracts with iron mordant, and it shall evolve over time under the Indiana atmosphere.
